Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) is a structured process aimed at ensuring customer satisfaction with new products and processes.
We use our project management whiteboard for planning of time, interrelationships between tasks, priorities, objectives, deadlines, customer communication, bottlenecks, etc., all of which become clear in an instance if made visual.
At the moment we have 82 components that are new or changed, which qualifies them for being part of our project management whiteboard.
Two students from Jönköping University (JU) are going to work with their master thesis at Falks Metall AB. The aim is to develop a conceptual solution for automating the scanning of each tool including the activity to store the data in the local produktion data cloud. CPK is a statistical tool, to measure the ability of a process to produce output within customer's specification limits. CPK is used to estimate how close you are to a given target and how consistent you are to around your average performance. Our customers usually wants a CPK of 1,33. The higher CPK value, the better process.
The Picture shows the range of our CPK. Nothing lower than 1,6.
With this in mind, we can trust that our manufacturing process is capable and meets specification limits.
