During this weekend we have updated our ERP system Monitor from version G4 to G5. We hope to improve our process effectiveness by doing this upgrade.
On Monday October 11th, we will be up and running with deliveries from our warehouse again.
We are happy to announce that we have been audited by Bureau Veritas according to the automotive quality management system standard IATF 16949. No nonconformities were issued, but we will continue working with the suggestions for improvements.
Our quality management system gives us support for working with continual improvement, emphasizing defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain. We call it Falkwork®.
We are now back from our holiday and we are preparing our projects for the autumn. Before our summer closure we received an order that will run in our machining centres Mazak HCN 4000 – III.
In order to create a more efficient work flow, we are now preparing for relocate the machining centres in another area of our plant. By this change we hope to create a value-added use of our floor space.
For some weeks we have now produced parts with a dimension of Ø240 mm. Imagine the size of the thread ring gauges….We believe turning is much more than machining of small-sized parts.
Turning and milling is not only about roundness and circle
One of our delivered products this week, is from tube material.
We measure dimensions thouroughly in our measuring equipment in order to guarantee the highest quality.
One of all machine set-ups this week is one for an aluminum
Copper-based alloys like CW307G offer high strength, hardness and corrosion resistance
Aluminium bronze is typically used in marine valves, pumps, weapons handling systems, couplings, fasteners, gears and marine propeller shafts.
Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) is a structured process aimed at ensuring customer satisfaction with new products and processes.
We use our project management whiteboard for planning of time, interrelationships between tasks, priorities, objectives, deadlines, customer communication, bottlenecks, etc., all of which become clear in an instance if made visual.
At the moment we have 82 components that are new or changed, which qualifies them for being part of our project management whiteboard.
We are happy to announce that we have received an order for forged brass parts worth SEK 1 million.
Two students from Jönköping University (JU) are going to work with their master thesis at Falks Metall AB. The aim is to develop a conceptual solution for automating the scanning of each tool including the activity to store the data in the local produktion data cloud. Partners in this project are also Mimatic and Ravema.
2020-12-08We are members of the network Automation Småland. This means we are part of a powerful network of specialists within the area of industrial automation.
To enhance the machinability of brass, lead is often added. However, lead is a cumulative toxicant and in our wish to make good decisions for humans and our planet, we have sought other options, such as Ecobrass ® which is a patented lead-free solution.
We know how to machine parts that are free from lead.
CPK is a statistical tool, to measure the ability of a process to produce output within customer's specification limits. CPK is used to estimate how close you are to a given target and how consistent you are to around your average performance. Our customers usually wants a CPK of 1,33. The higher CPK value, the better process.
The Picture shows the range of our CPK. Nothing lower than 1,6.
With this in mind, we can trust that our manufacturing process is capable and meets specification limits.
