Induction Hardening

Induction hardening is a method for locally increasing the surface hardness, without affecting the core hardness of a material. This means that the parts of the article that are not cured remain soft. The surface hardness and wear resistance increase without affecting the article’s turned dimensions and tolerances.

Part of the process

We have induction hardening integrated in a part of our production plant for turning. This means that we weave together several manufacturing processes in one cell. The articles are tested after hardening in our lab where we check and quality assure the hardness. All in all, this has created great gains in efficiency and quality for our clients. More than simply turning.
