Copper
Copper is one of the oldest metals in human use, with traces dating from around 10,000 BC. It became central during the Copper Age (c. 5000—3300 BC) when tools, weapons and jewellery began to be made. When alloyed with tin, bronze was created, marking the beginning of the Bronze Age. Copper's conductivity and malleability have made it crucial in both ancient and modern technology, from ancient aqueducts to today's electronics.
