Hot Pressing is a forming method in which metal is heated to a temperature that makes it more malleable, then pressed into the desired shape using powerful tools. Unlike cold forming, hot pressing is performed at elevated temperatures, making it possible to shape harder materials and more complex geometries.
The high temperature reduces the metal’s resistance and lowers the risk of cracking, while also improving the material structure through recrystallization. The result is components with high strength and long service life – often with slightly looser tolerances compared to cold-formed parts.
