At Falks Metall, we work with sustainability at every stage, from material selection to production methods. By using the Near-net-shape principle, we reduce our raw material consumption and optimize our processes for a lower carbon footprint.

Lead-free manufacturing

With a conscious decision to phase out lead, we have transitioned to a completely lead-free production. We have extensive experience in processing lead-free brass, such as Ecobrass®, which enables us to create sustainable components that meet the demands of the future. We have even turned down million-dollar orders for materials containing lead and actively helped our customers find alternative materials for a cleaner and safer production.4o mini

Phased-out cutting oil

oday, we use water-based cutting fluid in our lathes and mills. The cutting fluid contains about 94% water, which drastically reduces our chemical usage and creates a cleaner working environment – in line with the REACH regulation.

Social sustainability

The Gnosjö spirit is characterized by collaboration and a strong desire to create security and livelihood for the residents. Our social sustainability is expressed through collaborations with local organizations such as Lions, Klubben by Göhlins, and Gnosjö Innebandyklubb.

We are happy to welcome study visits from schools and collaboration partners, and we are involved in initiatives like Industrinatten – an event aimed at students in grade 8. We are also active in Teknikcollege, which promotes the education and interest of young people in technology.
