Our History
In 1946, Folke Falk started a business in an old chicken coop in what is now the center of Gnosjö. After the war, there was a need for fittings for oil burners, so in their spare time, Folke and his brother Helge turned these products on lathes. This was the foundation of what became Falks Metall in 1955, run by Folke and his sons Uno and Björn.
In 1969, a new factory building was constructed on Västergatan in Gnosjö, where the company operated until 2005, when a larger property was purchased on Marieströmsvägen.
In the early 1980s, Uno became the sole owner of Falks Metall, and a few decades later, Per took over the family business. The company has progressed significantly—from a few turret lathes and five employees to over 40 lathes with accompanying robots and about as many fantastic coworkers.
