ATEX is an abbreviation of the French term ATmosphères EXplosibles, which means explosive atmosphere and is used about the EU regulations for explosive environments with gas and / or dust atmospheres. These environments can be, for example, engine rooms, petrol stations, restaurants that handle LPG and other sensitive environments.
In order to have your product approved, full traceability at the individual level may be required for both measurement protocols and material certificates. We have extensive experience of handling ATEX products and have long had an administrative system in place to handle this.
